Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Advises Hapag-Lloyd In Acquisition Of A 40% Stake In JM Baxi Ports And Logistics Limited

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. advised Hapag-Lloyd group, which is a German leading global liner shipping operator and container carrier, in its acquisition of 35% in JM Baxi Ports and Logistics Limited from the exiting shareholder, a Bain Capital Private Equity affiliate and subscription to a capital increase of 5% of JM Baxi, thereby raising Hapag’s shareholding to 40% in JM Baxi.

J M Baxi Ports & Logistics Limited is a leading private terminal and inland transport service provider in India. The operations comprise container terminals, a multi-purpose terminal, inland container depots, container freight stations and additional logistics activities, such as rail service offerings across India.
