Saurya Bhattacharya has joined JSA as a Partner to further strengthen the firm’s Corporate practice. He will be based out of JSA’s Mumbai office.  With Saurya’s addition, the Firm’s partnership grows to 114. 

Saurya specialises in domestic and cross border corporate matters, with special focus on M&A, joint ventures, investments/fund raise, asset and business sale, commercial contracts, corporate compliance, and strategic advisory.

As a wide spectrum business lawyer with close to sixteen years of market-recognized experience, he has led large and complex transactions, as well as handled mid-market matters and dealt in the SME/start up space. His clients have included prominent Indian business houses/conglomerates, listed entities, prominent multinational companies, and investors. He takes an active interest in strategic and operational aspects of businesses, and their potential legal impact.

Before joining JSA, Saurya was National Partner & Head of Kolkata Office, with HSA Advocates. Prior to that he was with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas for about fourteen years, including four years as Partner.

He graduated from National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata and pursued his LL.M. (Corporate and Financial Laws) from Jindal Global Law School.
