"During IAMC's first three months of operation, a vision shared by our trustees has been transformed into a working proof of concept to support, develop and spearhead the institutionalization of Arbitration and Mediation in India. In this short timeframe IAMC, Hyderabad has been fortunate to administer a variety of disputes for an aggregate value of approximately USD 400 million covering a wide spectrum of matters from the energy sector, real estate to family disputes. It is my pleasure to report that 22 matters (including a batch of matters) have been referred to IAMC, Hyderabad by various Courts and Tribunals across the country including two matters from the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India".
"The enthusiasm and active engagement of the local bar with IAMC, Hyderabad is much appreciated as several ad–hoc arbitration proceedings have been conducted from our premises using our secretarial facilities. We have collaborated with other Domestic and International Institutions to conduct training courses, awareness programs and conferences to encourage Arbitration and Mediation. Importantly, IAMC, Hyderabad is slowly but surely taking its first steps to grow its international presence and footprint. In mid of March, IAMC, Hyderabad was pleased to partner a round table discussion covering varied perspectives on India as a seat of International Arbitration in Dubai. The Centre is also looking forward to releasing its Rules for International Arbitration soon", he adds.
