Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised Andhra Pradesh Urban Infrastructure Asset Management Limited (APUIAML), on financing facility aggregating to INR 2079 crore availed by Ramayapatnam Port Development Corporation (RPDC) from a consortium of lenders led by State Bank of India.

The Project and Project Finance Practice of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas acted as the legal counsel for APUIAML. The Transaction team was led by Yash Jain, Partner; with support from Madhur Verma, Principal Associate; and Janani Chandrasekaran, Associate.

As a part of the Transaction, the transaction team is advising RPDC and Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board in relation to the financing facility being provided by the State Bank of India, for the construction and development of a greenfield port with total berth capacity of 34 MTPA at Ramayapatnam in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh.

The Transaction was signed on 06th September 2022 and the closing of the transaction will happen within this financial year.
