Argus Partners has advised Tata Steel Limited in the acquisition of advanced ceramics company, Ceramat Private Limited (“Ceramat”) by Tata Steel Advanced Materials, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Steel. 

Ceramat was incorporated for manufacturing advanced ceramics with a focus on healthcare. 

The Ceramat promoters are highly experienced and specialized in advanced ceramics manufacturing. Tata Steel has identified advanced ceramics as one of the new materials for strategic growth as it comprises high growth potential in medical materials owing to its non-cyclical nature. Tata Steel aspires to setup a world-class facility to produce medical materials and use Ceramat as a special purpose vehicle for this purpose.
