Air India Urination Case: Delhi Court Likely To Announce Verdict Tomorrow

The court has reportedly called Mishra's act as disgusting but it will choose to go by the law on the matter.

A Delhi court on Monday reserved its order in the bail plea filed by Shankar Mishra, who was recently arrested for urinating on a fellow passenger on board an Air India flight in November last year while under the influence of alcohol.

Shankar Mishra had earlier denied the charges levelled against him before a sessions court.

Claiming that the woman urinated on herself, Mishra through his lawyer Ramesh Gupta argued that the woman suffers from a medical condition known as ‘incontinence.’ The said medical problem leads to uncontrollable urine leakage owing to a loss of bladder control as one ages.

Gupta reportedly argued that the complainant woman is a Kathak dancer and 80 percent of the Kathak dancers have this problem.

During previous hearings, Gupta is believed to have taken the defense of the sitting layout of the Air India flight. According to Gupta, the women’s seat was blocked from behind making it impossible for Mishra to urinate on her.

The court has reportedly called Mishra's act as disgusting but it will choose to go by the law on the matter. The verdict is likely to be out tomorrow.
