Supreme Court Launches Its Online RTI Portal

Indian citizens can file online RTI applications, First Appeal and make payment for Fees, Copying Charges, etc., under the Right to Information Act, 2005 (RTI Act) with the Supreme Court on payment of Rs 10.

Acceding to the demands of an online system of RTI, the Supreme Court on Thursday launched its online RTI Portal. This now enables Indian citizens to file online RTI applications, First Appeal and to make payment for Fees, Copying Charges, etc., under the Right to Information Act, 2005 (RTI Act) with the Supreme Court on payment of Rs 10.

An applicant who desires to obtain information under the RTI Act from public authorities, other than the Supreme Court of India, is advised to make an RTI application to the concerned Public Authorities through the respective Central/State Govt. Portal.

The decision to launch an online test portal was taken after running a test version of the Portal on Tuesday.

The portal can be accessed at
