The High Court of Chhattisgarh is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the post of District Judge.

About the High Court of Chhattisgarh:

The Chhattisgarh High Court is one of the High Courts in India located at village Bodri, Bilaspur with jurisdiction over the state of Chhattisgarh.

Essential Qualifications:

• No person shall be eligible for appointment by direct recruitment unless he or she –
  • is a citizen of India,
  • has attained the age of 35 years and has not attained the age of 45 years on the first day of January in the year in which applications for appointment are invited i.e. Jan 1, 2022.
    • Provided that where a candidate who was eligible in age to apply for appointment in the year 2021 i.e. as on 01/01/2021, shall also be eligible to apply against the advertisement in terms of the proviso to the Rule 7 (1) of Chhattisgarh Higher Judicial Service (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules 2006.
    • Provided further that the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to a maximum limit of 3 years for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes.
  • Possess a degree in law of a university established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or a State Act or an institution recognized by the U.G.C. or any other equivalent qualification.
  • has for at least seven years been an advocate as of Jan. 1, 2022
  • has good character and is of sound mind and body and free from any bodily and mental disability which renders him unfit for such appointment.

Salary:

The pay scale is INR 51550-1230-58930-1380-63070 (New interim pay scale in the 13-A pay matrix and pay level of INR 131100-216600) in the cadre of Higher Judicial Service by direct recruitment from Bar.

Age Limit:

Candidates should not be below 35 and above 45 years of age as on July 7, 2022.
