[Breaking] Delhi Court Vacates Stay Order Restraining Yo Yo Honey Singh From Creating Third Party Rights In Dubai Villa

Honey Singh has assured that they will not sell the identified villa till next date of hearing.

Delhi's Tis Hazari Court on Friday vacated the stay order issued against singer and actor Honey Singh which prevented him from creating any third party rights in the immovable and movable assets owned by him or through his companies in UAE. Honey Singh was also asked to submit documents of his companies which are registered abroad before the Court.

During today's hearing, Honey Singh's Counsel argued that a court of law hearing a domestic matter cannot pass order pertaining to a company. It was also argued that a restrain on the business cannot be created.

After due arguments, the Judge vacated the stay order issued on 15.09.2021 and the said companies are allowed to function without restrain. Honey Singh assured that they will not sell the identified villa in the mean time till next date of hearing. 

Honey Singh's wife alleged that Singh might alienate Dubai's posh villa purchased for her through his company abroad

Honey's wife Shalini had moved a fresh application in the domestic violence case on Thursday. Shalini had alleged that Honey Singh is in the process of creating third party rights in her assets situated in Dubai. Singh has a "posh villa" in Dubai measuring 333.73 square meters which he purchased for her through one of his companies incorporated abroad.  

Singer's wife claimed that her husband had executed a General Power of Attorney on November 19, 2019, in her favour, giving her rights and control over all his movable and immovable assets situated in UAE. She had expressed "grave apprehension" that her husband may revoke that General Power of Attorney.

In her domestic violence plea, Talwar has claimed that she was physically assaulted by Singh over the last ten years of their marriage. She also alleged that Honey Singh cheated on her. Subsequently, Singh had issued a press statement calling the allegations against him malicious.

The matter is now listed for further arguments on 28.09.2021.
